Does my photo get uploaded to a server?

No. The AI model runs inside your browser — the photo itself never leaves your device. The first run downloads the model file (about 40 MB), which is then cached, but that download contains no data about you or your image.

Why is the first run slow?

The browser has to fetch and warm up the AI model once. After that it’s cached, and later runs start immediately.
